Fortress is a B2B infrastructure company providing blockchain benefits in a simple service model (widgets and APIs). In particular they were a big winner in the financial services domain where a bank client could go from 9 to 5 bank hours to 24/7/365, global, instant transactions almost overnight. All of this working with a certified Trust company who had their money transmitter license (something very few other blockchain companies had and practically no new blockchain company would be able to get).
Raising $33M in a seed and focused on building out their core e-payments / e-trust / “bank of web3” platform, Fortress was eager to rapidly scale.
